HUSQVARNA 592 XP® – DESIGNED FOR A BETTER CUTTING EXPERIENCE
The Husqvarna 592 XP® will provide you with best in class cutting capacity. The cutting capacity is the result of a combination of the extremely powerful X-Torq® engine and the razor-sharp C85 or C83 X-CUTTM chain, and the resulting power will make you better and faster and provide an improved cutting experience.
(When compared to closest competitor in the same displacement class, STIHL MS 661 C-M)
More efficient – best in class power-to-weight
When compared to competitor models in the same displacement class, Stihl MS 661 C-CM and Stihl MS 661 MAGNUM, the new 592 XP® offers an unbeatable combination of low weight and high power output levels, making you more efficient. The saws optimised balance is a result of optimised centre of gravity and the X-ToughTM Light bar and will provide for easier manoeuvring and a more efficient workday.
More reliable – vital reliability and easy starts
Husqvarna 592 XP® features new starting technology that makes the chainsaw more reliable and provides easier starts. Thanks to AutoTune 3.0, the engine settings are always optimised for maximum performance in all conditions, keeping you going no matter the challenges. The starting procedure is simplified and only one starting procedure is required no matter the conditions, or the temperature of the engine, which further improves the reliability. Additionally, it’s equipped with a heavy-duty air filter with rubber sealing and a robust crankcase that handles bars of up to 36″.
Equipped for the very best workday
The new 90cc saws will benefit from being equipped with our new X-ToughTM Light bars and X-ToughTM bars. The X-ToughTM Light bar is a robust bar with reduced weight that greatly improves manoeuvrability. The X-ToughTM bar made from solid steel will provide long lifetime and facilitate straight cuts and minimise pinching. Both saws will deliver impressive cutting capacity by equipping them with the combination of the X-ToughTM or X-ToughTM Light bar and a razor-sharp X-CUTTM chain with hard to match stay-sharp properties.
HUSQVARNA 585 – TRADITIONAL TECHNOLOGY MEETS MODERN PERFORMANCE
More powerful and more convenient
Husqvarna’s new 90cc range also includes the new Husqvarna 585, a durable workhorse characterised by an excellent mix of traditional technology with needle carburettor, user-centric design and modern performance. The saw delivers excellent cutting capacity – 17% higher than the Husqvarna 390 XP® – as well as improved vibration levels and optimised manoeuvrability for an improved cutting experience.
More durable – fit for the heavy- duty challenges
Husqvarna has announced new X-Tough Light Saw Bars.
Along with the new chainsaws, Husqvarna has announced new X-Tough Light Saw Bars. Husqvarna, in partnership with noted manufacturer Sugihara/Diatop Co. Ltd., has announced the launch of the new Husqvarna X-Tough Light bars. Made for everyday professional forestry and tree care work, the new Husqvarna X-Tough Light bars offer a combination of lightweight, durability and cutting performance.
“We are very excited to finally announce our partnership with Sugihara. Their ability to produce the best saw bars is well recognized in the industry. Our mission is to offer our customers the best cutting system possible and these new bars are a vital part in that,” says Gent Simmons, Global Portfolio Director for Tree Professional at Husqvarna. Husqvarna X-Tough Light benefits from a solid, lightweight body with hard resin inserts that reduce weight, making it is easy to manoeuvre.
Additionally, the hard resin inserts make the bars robust, ensuring high productivity and improved straightness in the cuts. The three-rivet RSN mount and an optimized oil hole help provide reliability and performance during long workdays. These features, along with the rail hardness of the new bars, give them longer maintenance intervals. Additionally, the sprocket nose adds to the high performance of Husqvarna X-Tough Light and the new premium design provides a nice distinct appearance.
Husqvarna’s new 3/8 in. lightweight bars, Husqvarna X-Tough Light, comes in lengths up to 36 in. and are available starting July 2021. The bars fit Husqvarna chainsaws from 60 cc and up with a large bar mount.
HUSQVARNA 592 XP®: BEST IN CLASS CUTTING CAPACITY!
The very heart of your work depends on your efficiency. This, in turn, is a combination of your skill, your experience – and the efficiency of the tool you’re using. This efficiency – how fast, sharp and powerful it is, is measured in cutting capacity. And the higher it is, the better you get. It’s about productivity, about work pride – and about enabling the very best workday. Tests have shown that the new Husqvarna 592 XP® provides best in class cutting capacity, almost 5% higher than the competition.
WHAT IS CUTTING CAPACITY?
Cutting capacity can be used as a measurement. It is used to describe how well and how quickly a chainsaw performs its main task—cutting through the wood. The cutting capacity of any given chainsaw directly relates to the capacity of work an operator can get done. The higher the cutting capacity, the higher the work efficiency. In effect, you’ll be able to get more done in less time which, in turn, equals more profits for the contractor or company.
HOW DO WE MEASURE IT?
We measure cutting capacity by rigorous testing in a semi-automated test rig with the saw mounted in its front and rear handle and then pushed through the logs at full throttle. Three pine logs are stacked on top of each other, and the measurements are made when cutting through a section of a log of a specific cross-section, a log with 30x30cm dimension. Based on the time it takes for a saw to cut through a log of a specific cross-section, the result is then measured in cm2/s.
THIRD PARTY TESTING
We engaged an independent third-party agent RISE SMP – Swedish Machinery Testing [https://www.ri.se/en/smp-swedish-machinery-testing] to conduct the tests in order to safeguard unquestionable results.
TESTING OF HUSQVARNA 592 XP® and STIHL MS 661 C-M
The comparison testing was performed by RISE SMP at their site in Umeå, Sweden. The purpose of the tests was to determine the difference in cutting capacity between the Husqvarna 592 XP® and the STIHL MS 661 C-M. The tests were performed with six pairs of out-of-the box products respectively.
CUTTING EQUIPMENT
In the tests the respective manufacturer’s most common cutting equipment was used.
Husqvarna:
- Bar – 24″ X-Tough™ RSN, 1.5mm gauge
- Chain – 24″ X-CUT™ C85
- Pre-mixed petrol – Husqvarna XP® POWER
- Bar & chain oil – Husqvarna Premium chain oil (mineral based)
STIHL:
- Bar – 25″ Rollomatic-E RSN, 1.6mm gauge
- Chain – 25″ 36RS
- Pre-mixed petrol – STIHL 2T MOTOMIX
- Bar & chain oil – STIHL SynthPlus (mineral based)
THE RESULTS: BEST IN CLASS CUTTING PERFORMANCE
When comparing the test results, the conclusion was that the Husqvarna 592 XP® had a 4.6% higher cutting capacity than the STIHL MS 661 C-M.
