Husqvarna Automower® 405XE NERA with wire free technology is a robotic lawn mower for lawns up to 900 m². It minimises the need to trim the edges of your lawn, saving time and effort with the EdgeCut feature. A wire free installation offers complete flexibility with precise virtual boundaries, enabled by satellite-based technology via the EPOS™ Plug-in. This also means there is no risk of wire breakage.
Tailor the lawn to your needs by creating multiple work areas with different settings via the Automower® Connect app. Just as easily, temporary stay-out zones can be created to preserve seasonal wildflowers or garden project areas.
Choose between a smooth-looking or patterned finish on your lawn with systematic mowing. The selectable mowing patterns feature enables you to choose a visual pattern of your choice, such as stripes, checkerboard or triangles, as the mower runs in parallel lines, increasing area capacity to 900 m². Or, for a carpet-like finish, choose the irregular pattern mode, which gives a 600 m² area capacity.
Precise mowing is achieved with a reduced risk of impact and unplanned stops due to the sensors on the mower which detect and avoid obstacles.
Stay in control by monitoring your mower from anywhere in the world and integrate it with your smart home via the Automower® Connect app. Send commands, create and adjust your installation and zones, view and change your mower settings and receive notifications for complete lawn control.
In order to have the boundary wire free solution you need a Husqvarna Automower® 405XE NERA robotic mower and a Husqvarna EPOS™ Plug-in. The correction data for the satellite technology is provided via the Husqvarna Cloud at no additional cost. If you do not have cellular or Wi-Fi coverage across your full lawn area then you will need to purchase the EPOS™ RS1 Reference Station. The Automower® Connect app is also required to create a virtual installation.
Minimised trimming with EdgeCut
The need to trim the edges of your lawn is minimised, saving time and effort. This is made possible by a dedicated rear EdgeCut disc that can cut so close to the edges that only a minimum of grass is left uncut.
Wire free installation available
Customisable lawn maintenance thanks to wire free installation with virtual boundaries is available with an EPOS Plug-in accessory. The virtual boundaries are easy to adjust in the Husqvarna Automower® Connect app, and you can create stay-out zones and multiple work areas with different settings.
Automower® Connect App
Enjoy the convenience of remote control from your smartphone with the Husqvarna Automower® Connect app. Among other things, you can manage and monitor your Husqvarna robotic lawn mower, change settings, and get easy access to information and tips that make lawn maintenance carefree. The cellular connectivity of this model makes it possible to connect to your mower from anywhere.
Object Detection & Avoidance
Built-in sensors assist the mower to detect and avoid objects, reducing the risk of unplanned stops. The detections mode reduces the speed and makes collisions softer and the avoidance mode causes the mower to turn away and avoid impact.
Easy cleaning
You can wash the exterior and underneath of the robotic mower with a garden hose. By using the attached maintenance tool, the cover can easily be removed, for easy cleaning and reachability everywhere.
Weather timer
Adjusts the working time to the lawn’s growth rate, meaning that Husqvarna Automower® will maximize its mowing time during periods of strong grass growth. In sunny or dry weather, or late in the season, the mower will spend less time mowing, which decreases wear on lawn and mower.
